My Perspective on Fad Diets (& Even Cloning)

In Section 89 of the Doctrine & Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), we are instructed (by revelation from God) how to preserve and enhance our health
It assures us that the beasts and the fowls are here on Earth for our use, even though we also are cautioned to eat of them sparingly. We also are counseled therein to eat fruits, vegetables, and grains..
So, whenever a new health fad pops up, I try to see what God has told us on the subject through our latter-day prophets, seers, and revelators.
For instance, the previous and current hub-bub in the non-LDS Christian community about cloning fascinates me, because I notice that our LDS Leaders haven't had much to say about the issue.
And so it seems to me that this issue is irrelevant to the defining issue as to when our spirits enter our bodies.
Without the animation of the spirit, our bodies aren't souls (the
combination of body and spirit - D&C 88:15).
In other words, if God sees fit to put a spirit into a cloned body, then that's good enough for me, because it was good enough for Him.

Postscript: D&C 88:124 has even more good counsel.
