Sent to Janet Anderson, MCEA Director of Communications
Janet,
My copy of the latest issue of the "MCEA News" just arrived earlier this week at my home, and it wasn't until just now that the press of work and other responsibilities lessened enough for me to read it.
I don't know the identity of that ugly guy with the tie askew (his Mommy needs to dress him better) whose mug is on the front page with Senator Hafer, but calling me " an outspoken, courageous, and tireless advocate for employees" certainly was much more gracious than the usual epithets which often caress my all so innocent and pink, shell-like ears (I think my favorite moniker from others is "that Bolshevik Bozo").
Some days it's a frustrating struggle to continue to pursue workplace justice when so many are second-guessing us or even giving up, and your kind words helped me remember to keep the faith with the MCEA team.
It also reminds me of the words of Robert Frost: "...and I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep." ("Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening").
Thank you for making my day.
-Larry
